GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is a chain-of-custody certification that tracks recycled material from the collection point through processing to the finished product. The certificate proves that the recycled content claimed on the bag can be traced back to a verified source — it does not certify the percentage of recycled content but confirms that whatever percentage is stated is backed by documentation. The cert number BVC-TE-00003704-GRS-2607-50009913-V1.0 is current until July 2027 and can be shared with your buyer for audit purposes.
No, and this matters for on-bag messaging. PE carrier bags go into soft-plastic film collection streams. PP is a different polymer family and is not generally accepted in those streams. PP is recyclable in its own right but collection infrastructure varies by country and municipality. We will help you put the correct recycling guidance on the bag for your target market — do not print 'recycle with soft plastics at the store' on a PP bag without checking local scheme acceptance first.
Screen printing is well-suited to short runs with bold, solid-colour graphics — logos, wordmarks and simple block designs. It does not require engraved cylinders, so a short run goes on press quickly. Gravure gives better reproduction of fine detail and photographic images and becomes the sensible route once a design settles into long repeat production, since the cylinders are reused on every reorder. If your artwork is complex, we will quote gravure alongside screen and let you compare.
The button closure is a press-stud or snap-tab at the top of the handle loop: the two halves of the handle meet and press together to close the bag's top opening. It gives a tidier look than an open vest slit at handover and keeps contents from spilling if the bag is set down and tipped. It is not airtight and not suitable for liquids. For grocery checkout use the button closure adds about 0.5 seconds per bag versus a vest slit, so consider your throughput requirement.
Yes — a short screen-printed pilot is the sensible way to start. It lets you validate the 18 x 28 cm footprint, the button-closure handle and the print in real use before a design goes into long repeat production. Unprinted stock-size sample bags ship in 7 days if all you need is to check gauge and handle strength in the hand, and the screen plates made for a pilot are held and reused on the repeat run.
