The PET/PE laminate uses food-contact grade PET film and PE sealant resin, and the same structure wraps bakery and dry food elsewhere in our range. Documentation is issued per structure against an order, not carried as a blanket claim. We can arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one your buyer nominates — and issue the food-contact declaration against the order. If you are packaging food for a regulated market or a buyer who audits, say so at enquiry stage and we will include the file with the sample.
A fin seal bonds the film sealant-face to sealant-face, producing a narrow fin that stands proud of the bag surface — common on flow-wrap lines. A lap seal overlaps the outer face of one edge onto the sealant of the other, giving a flat back panel that is neater for products displayed face-up on a shelf. We can produce either; specify at order stage based on your machine type and presentation preference.
Digital printing is the correct choice for a short first run. There is no cylinder engraving stage, turnaround is fast (typically 8–10 days total), and quality is acceptable for most brand and product designs. Gravure becomes the better choice once a design settles into repeat production, because the engraved cylinders are reused on every run and hold fine detail more consistently. We quote both against your specification so you can see where the crossover falls for your artwork.
Yes. A press-to-close zipper strip is bonded across the top of the bag to create a resealable format. This is commonly specified for multipack soap bars, biscuit packs and deli-style bakery items. It extends lead time by 3–4 days. For products where re-seal is not needed, a simple tear notch on the top seal is the cleaner option.
Our standard range goes to 28×35 cm, which covers most bread loaf and large commodity block sizes. For wider or longer formats — baguettes, long soap bars — we accept custom dimensions and will also check that the bag style suits your filling method, since very wide pillow bags can be harder to handle on a manual line.
