The CPP sealant is specifically chosen for its low-temperature seal integrity — it maintains bond strength at sub-zero temperatures where a standard PE sealant can become brittle and peel. That said, seal quality also depends on the machine jaw temperature and dwell time. We supply a recommended seal window with the first delivery and suggest running a peel-strength test at your freezing temperature before full production.
The film is made from food-contact grade PET and CPP resins used throughout the ice cream and confectionery industry. Food-contact documentation is issued per structure against an order rather than carried as a blanket claim, because the structure changes with the print and the gauge. We can arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one your buyer nominates — and issue the food-contact declaration against the order. Tell us your market and your retail buyer and we will include the right report with the sample.
For small runs and seasonal SKUs, digital is the practical choice. Colour accuracy is good for bold, graphic designs but slightly less consistent than gravure across long runs. If you are printing a photographic image or a very pale, flat-tint background, we recommend ordering a digital proof first so you can judge the output before committing.
Side-gusset popsicle wrappers are used on horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) and fin-seal stick-ice-cream lines. The film width and gusset depth need to match your machine format — provide us with your machine model and mandrel dimensions and we will size the roll or sheet to suit. If you are filling by hand, a flat three-side-seal variant is simpler to heat-seal on a table-top impulse sealer.
PET/CPP is a mixed-material laminate and is not accepted in standard film recycling streams. If recyclability or mono-material construction is a specification requirement from your buyer, this is not the right wrapper. We can discuss BOPP/CPP options which are closer to a single-polymer family, though compostability or certified recyclability is not available in this product category without a structural change and formal testing.
