No formal food-contact certification is carried for this product. It is a straightforward PE bag supplied for household and small-commercial use. If you are a licensed frozen-food producer selling through supermarkets you will need documented food-contact compliance before you can list. We can arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one your buyer nominates — and issue the food-contact declaration against the order. Ask before you place a commercial order rather than after.
The most common method is to fill, leaving a few centimetres of headspace, then either tie the top in a knot or use a domestic heat sealer or impulse sealer. A knot is fine for home and small-stall use; a heat sealer gives a neater appearance for commercial sale and is faster at volume. We do not supply a sealer, but any standard impulse-sealing bar that accepts the bag width will work.
PE at this gauge is designed to peel rather than split — the user tears or cuts the top, then peels the film down and off the frozen column. For very small children, a pair of scissors is the safer approach. If the frozen product sticks to the film, run the outside of the bag briefly under a cold tap to release the surface layer.
Yes, provided the liquid is food-safe and compatible with PE. Coconut water, juice, smoothie mix and water-based flavoured drinks all work well. Milk-fat products may leave a slight residue on the inside of the film if the pop is not consumed quickly after removal from the freezer, but the bag itself is compatible. Avoid filling with oil-based or solvent-based liquids.
For a street-food vendor or small frozen-treat producer it is a commodity input — plain clear bags, and the flavour sells the product, not the packaging. For a branded frozen-dessert business selling through retail, custom-printed bags are worth specifying: we run those with your logo and flavour colour coding, on a longer lead time to allow for artwork approval and print set-up.
