We do not recommend it. OPP film softens at high temperatures and a warm, moist cookie will generate steam inside a sealed bag, causing condensation and a soggy base within minutes. Allow baked goods to cool to room temperature before bagging — typically 20–30 minutes on a rack. If your operation requires immediate bagging after baking, we can specify a higher-temperature film or a vented format instead.
The adhesive strip gives a firm one-time closure suitable for retail display and short transit. It is not designed for a hermetic moisture or gas barrier — for products that need a true airtight seal over days of shelf life, a heat-sealed bag is more appropriate. The self-adhesive format is ideal for display cases, counter service and gift packaging where the product is sold and consumed the same day.
They ship flat-packed in cartons with the self-adhesive strip protected by a release liner. Store them indoors, dry, out of direct sunlight and below about 25 °C: the adhesive loses tack if it is left in a hot store or in a delivery van in summer, and that is the most common cause of a strip that will not hold. Do not stack heavy cases on top of the cartons, because sustained pressure can set the liner into the adhesive. Bring cold stock up to room temperature before opening so condensation does not settle on the strip.
OPP has low moisture vapour transmission, which helps protect crisp baked goods from ambient humidity. For macarons in particular, the bag will slow moisture pickup but not stop it entirely over multi-day shelf life. If you need extended crispness, we can specify a higher-barrier laminate such as BOPP/PE; the self-adhesive format would change to a heat-seal bag in that case.
The standard that matters for an OPP bread or cookie bag is FDA 21 CFR in the United States, or the corresponding food-contact regime in your own market. Product-safety marks that appear on some packaging listings confer no food-contact compliance at all, so do not let one stand in for a declaration. We do not carry a blanket declaration for this bag. We can arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one your buyer nominates — and issue the food-contact declaration against the order.
