That is the usual failure mode with powders. We specify a PE sealant with a low static pick-up and set the seal jaw for a longer dwell at lower temperature, which lets the seal close through a light dusting. On a first order we also run a fill trial with your actual powder before releasing the main run.
No. This one is a two-ply MDOPE / PE for dry powders where moisture is the main risk. The PPWR high-barrier version adds a high-barrier PE core for oxygen-sensitive products such as roasted coffee and nuts. Tell us your product and target shelf life and we will point you at the right one.
Start from the fill weight, the drop height in your distribution chain and how the cases are stacked. We run 90, 110 and 130 micron as standard builds: 90 suits single-serve and sachet weights, 110 covers most 500 g to 1 kg tubs, and 130 is where 2 kg refills and palletised export usually land. Rather than guess, send us the filled weight and a description of the transit route and we will drop-test the proposed build with a ballast fill before the main run.
