For a sealed PE bag without ventilation, yes — the loaf should be cooled to near room temperature first. A hot loaf sealed in an unvented bag traps steam, which softens the crust and can promote mould. If you need to bag warm bread straight off the line, we can add micro-perforation to allow vapour to escape; let us know your bakery process and we will specify the right format.

For a 400–800 g sliced loaf we typically recommend 60–80 micron; heavier artisan loaves or bags that go through a conveyor line benefit from 100 micron or above for puncture resistance. Share your fill weight and how the bag is handled after filling, and we will specify a gauge before quoting.

PE zippers seal well at standard bakery humidity levels. For very high-moisture products or extended shelf display, we can upgrade the closure to a slider zip or a press-to-close format with a wider seal track — both give a more positive close under wet hands.

Yes. The film is food-grade polyethylene, free from harmful plasticisers, and safe for direct contact with bread and other baked goods. We supply a food-contact declaration with each order; additional migration test reports can be arranged on request.

The handle is formed in the same bag-making step as the top gusset, so it adds no separate operation and does not extend the schedule. On load, the integrated gusset handle carries a standard 400–800 g sliced loaf comfortably; if you are bagging a dense artisan loaf, or the filled bags are carried any distance, ask for the reinforced patch so the punched slot does not tear out at the corner.
