The key difference is body clarity. This pouch has a transparent PET/Nylon/PE body so buyers can see the product inside; the other pouch uses the same laminate family but can be specified as opaque or metallised. Both share the same leakproof screw-cap spout and the same seal parameters. Choose clear when product colour is a selling point; choose opaque when you want to block light or prefer a solid branded surface.
PET/Nylon/PE performs adequately with most condiments including salad dressings, tomato-based sauces and vinegar-based products. For very high-acid or oil-rich fills, the barrier performance is lower than a foil laminate, so ambient shelf life will be shorter. Tell us the product type and intended shelf life and we will advise whether this structure is appropriate or whether a foil laminate would be safer.
This laminate is suitable for moderate fill temperatures and hot-fill processes up to around 85 °C; it is not rated for retort sterilisation. For shelf-stable condiments filled at high temperature we recommend confirming seal integrity with a trial run before committing to full production.
The PET/Nylon/PE laminate is built from food-contact grades held to FDA 21 CFR 177, and the food-contact declaration ships with the order alongside our BRCGS, HACCP, ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 certificates. If your retailer or importing country needs EU documentation, we arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one you nominate — and issue the declaration against your order. Request it at the sampling stage so the testing is finished before production.
Yes — we print the label panel, barcode and nutritional information on the back or lower front of the pouch and leave a clear window at the front centre. The dieline shows the exact print area, and you sign it off before any cylinders are made. Many brands use this layout to combine regulatory compliance with the premium visual effect of an unobstructed product view.
