No — and it is important to be upfront about that. Clear PE without an EVOH or aluminium layer has limited oxygen and moisture barrier, which makes it suitable for short shelf-life ambient beverages, refrigerated juices or products consumed quickly after filling. If your juice needs six-plus months' shelf life at ambient temperature without flavour degradation, a foil laminate is the right choice. We will ask you the shelf-life target before recommending a structure.
Tell us the filler make and model and the spout you run now — the critical dimensions are the spout flange width, the neck diameter, the thread pitch and the overall spout height, because those set whether the pouch is picked, held and capped correctly by your existing tooling. If you are on an established spout standard we match it directly. If the line is new, we supply the spout drawing so your machine builder can confirm the change parts before anything is tooled. Plain unprinted pouches in the final structure ship ahead of a printed run so you can prove the fill, the seal and the capping torque on your own equipment first.
Standard PE spout pouches are not designed for carbonated beverages — the internal pressure from CO₂ stresses the seals and spout joint in ways that a non-pressurised pouch is not rated for. For still juices, diluted sports drinks and water this structure is suitable. Tell us your fill product and we will confirm.
Give us your fill volume (in ml), the orientation (portrait or landscape), and whether you have a target footprint for your display fixture. From those inputs we calculate the width, height and gusset and send a dieline for approval before any cylinders or tooling are made.
The PE film is a food-contact grade held to FDA 21 CFR 177, and we supply the food-contact declaration together with our BRCGS, HACCP, ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 certificates. Where the pouches are sold into the EU, we arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one your importer nominates — and issue the declaration against your order. Raise it at the sampling stage so the testing is completed before the production run.
