The PET/PE structure is built from food-contact grades and held to FDA 21 CFR 177, backed by our BRCGS, HACCP, ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 systems. If you are importing into the EU, we arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one you nominate — and issue the declaration against your order. Tell us the destination market and the filled product at enquiry stage so the right testing is completed before the production run.
A clear PET/PE bag does not block light — light degrades roasted coffee rapidly, so a fully transparent pouch is not suitable for whole-bean or ground coffee unless the product has very short shelf life. For coffee, we recommend an opaque back with a clear front window, or a fully opaque metallised structure. This pouch is better suited to sugar, spices, or products where product visibility is more valuable than complete light barrier.
This structure uses gravure printing and the bag dimensions require a specific cylinder set. The 20–25 working days cover cylinder engraving, print run, lamination and bag-making. Digital short-run printing shortens the schedule because it skips the engraving step entirely. If timeline is critical, raise it early and we will explore whether a stock-format digital run can bridge the gap while the main order is in production.
Yes. A matte OPP or matte PET outer with a heat-bonded clear PET window on the front panel is a standard configuration. The window size and position are set at the dieline stage. This combination is popular for specialty sugar and loose-leaf tea, where buyers want to inspect colour and texture before purchase.
Work from fill weight, shelf face and how the pouch travels. A 100–250 g sachet that ships palletised in a shipper carton sits comfortably on 0.10 mm, and the lighter wall creases more sharply, so the flat-bottom base folds crisply. A 500 g to 2 kg retail pack, or anything that will be hand-stacked, faced repeatedly on a gondola or shipped loose, wants 0.16 mm — the extra wall keeps the box corners square instead of bowing once the pouch is full. If you are unsure, send the fill weight and the shipping route and we will run a drop test on the sample batch and confirm the gauge before the main run.
