The LDPE and CPP inner layers are food-contact grades used throughout the food industry, held to FDA 21 CFR 177 and produced under our BRCGS, HACCP and ISO 22000 systems. For an EU destination we arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one you nominate — and issue the declaration against your order. Tell us your target market and we will confirm the documentation supplied with the sample shipment.
Plain LDPE has good cold-chain flexibility but limited stiffness, so the bag can feel flimsy in the hand and print registration is harder to hold. Adding a BOPP face gives the bag a firm, paper-like feel that prints sharply and stands up in a retail bin without collapsing. The CPP sealant layer bonds at lower temperature than PET-based laminates, which is friendlier to automated filling lines. The trade-off is that the laminate structure is not mono-material, so it is not recyclable in the same way as a plain LDPE bag.
Production to 500,000 pieces takes 20–25 working days. Add 15–20 days sea freight for most major ports, plus customs clearance. From order placement to goods on your shelf, allow 30–40 days for a standard order. The fast production time means the ocean-freight leg, not the factory, is the critical path.
Yes. Plain bags are available from existing stock and can ship in days, which is a practical way to trial the size and gauge before investing in print cylinders. Use the plain trial to confirm the gauge, the drawstring length and the tear-off behaviour at your bench, then the printed run repeats the same structure exactly.
The laminate is food-grade and performs well at freezer temperatures. It can be used for frozen food, bulk nuts, frozen vegetables and similar products. The drawstring closure is not airtight, so for products requiring a gas-flush or hermetic seal, a heat-sealed alternative is more appropriate.
