Yes. Foil stamping and embossing can be combined as registered embossed foil — the foil sits exactly over the raised texture, producing a three-dimensional metallic effect on a logo or pattern. The tooling for each technique is made separately and aligned at press. We include a physical sample approval step before the production run because the combined effect depends on the exact substrate weight and ink lay-down.
No to both as a standard build. Kraft paper laminated to a plastic inner film and finished with matte lamination is a multi-material structure that cannot be separated in a standard paper mill or composting facility. The correct disposal route is general waste. If recyclability or compostability is a requirement for your market, we can quote an alternative structure — please specify the market and the claim you need to support and we will direct you to a suitable option.
Gravure excels at continuous tone and photographic imagery at high volume. Offset and silk-screen are better choices when the design has very fine lines, small-point type (below 6 pt), or a limited palette of heavy Pantone spot colours, because those methods give sharper edge definition on textured paper at moderate quantities. For this bag we recommend offset or silk-screen for label-style designs up to around 30,000 pieces, and gravure above that volume where the cylinder cost amortises.
The standard inner is a food-grade PE liner, which suits most dry goods — coffee, tea, biscuits, nuts. For products with a high fat content or strong odour (spices, cheese snacks), we can specify an inner VMPET or aluminium foil liner that gives better grease and odour resistance. Tell us the product, fill weight and target shelf life and we will recommend the structure.
Yes. Blank brown or white kraft bags without printing are available from 1,000 pieces at a shorter lead time than custom-printed orders. You can apply your own labels, stickers or stamps. The structure and zipper are identical; only the outer print is absent. This suits brands that run frequent label changes, short-run flavour variants, or in-house personalisation workflows.
