Yes. The 90 micron laminate seals cleanly on a standard impulse or constant-heat table-top sealer, and the flat format feeds by hand without a former. Set the seal below the zipper and let the bag cool under pressure before you move it, because a hot seal on a foil laminate has very little green strength. If you tell us the sealer you run and the dwell it allows, we will confirm the sealing window for the exact structure and send plain bags ahead of a printed run so you can dial the machine in.
The material is a PE/aluminium composite produced from food-grade resins, and the structure is covered by FDA 21 CFR 177 for US food contact. For sale into the EU we arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one you nominate — and issue the declaration against your order. Tell us your market at enquiry stage and we will schedule the testing so the paperwork lands with the production sample.
Yes. The six sizes share one laminate and one tooling family, so several of them can be scheduled in a single production booking and consolidated into one shipment. Each printed size is still set up as its own SKU, because it carries its own artwork layout and its own dieline.
The holographic layer is laminated inside the outer film, so it is protected from direct surface contact and light scuffing during retail handling. Prolonged UV exposure from strong display lighting can gradually reduce the colour shift intensity over months, but for typical retail cycle times this is not a practical concern. Avoid storing filled bags in direct sunlight before they reach the shelf.
The aluminium layer provides high barrier against moisture and light. For roasted nuts and similar oxygen-sensitive products, the barrier is substantially better than a mono-PE or BOPP bag. However, for very long ambient shelf lives — 12 months or more — we recommend specifying a thicker gauge and confirming the seal integrity under your specific fill and storage conditions with a sample run first.
