We recommend specifying your product, target shelf life, storage conditions and filling machine type — then we will propose a structure. For example, a dry snack running on a VFFS line with a 3-month ambient shelf life typically suits an OPP/CPP or BOPP/PE laminate. A moisture-sensitive product with a 12-month requirement needs a higher-barrier structure with a VMPET or aluminium foil layer. We will send a formal structure recommendation with material data sheets before production.
The base resins are food-contact grade materials in common use across the food industry. The structures are built from food-contact grades and we hold FDA 21 CFR 177. For sale into the EU we arrange migration testing at an accredited laboratory — including one you nominate — and issue the declaration against your order. Tell us your market and retail buyer's requirements at enquiry stage and we will specify the appropriate documented structure. Do not proceed into a regulated market without confirming the documentation requirement with us first.
We need the following: slit width (mm), maximum roll outer diameter (mm), core inner diameter (mm or inches), and wind direction (inside or outside). If you are unsure, send us your machine model and we will cross-reference standard roll specifications for that equipment.
20–25 working days from deposit to despatch is the standard for a first gravure print run, which includes cylinder engraving, a colour proof, and a full-width print trial. Repeat orders where cylinders are held run in approximately 15–20 days. We strongly recommend placing the order 60 days before your production start date to allow time for proof approval and shipping.
Yes. We can produce a sample slit roll in 7 days, typically an unprinted or previously-printed structure in the nearest gauge to your specification. Printed sample rolls require cylinder engraving and therefore follow the standard 32-day schedule. Most buyers use the unprinted sample to validate machine settings and do the colour approval from a flat print proof rather than a full roll.
